The Right Stuff for Technology Consulting

The engineers, scientists, and technologists of The Booz-Allen Technology Centers in Bethesda, MD, are tasked with solving some of the toughest challenges facing government and industry. We were tasked with developing a design vocabulary for communicating their expertise and the benefits of working with the firm.

Projects included recruiting and capabilities brochures and journals of professional and scientific papers. This suite of materials in metallic silver, black, and strong colors boldly transmit the Tech Centers’ capabilities to government entities worldwide.
“Efficient Solutions in Electromagnetic Coupling Problems,” with a series of computer-generated models of planes, was typical of the content of In Context. We developed a typographical system, including settings for mathematical equations, to compliment and clarify the papers’ findings.
C3 refers to command, control, and communications in national security decision-making. Booz-Allen commissioned us to design capabilities materials to showcase their qualifications in this area.
In a typical project, we present three design options. In this case, two were created with stock photography and one features a commissioned illustration by David Suter. The client chose the option with layers — from up in space to below the ocean. He asked us to simplify, get more down to earth. Collaboration with smart clients always achieves the best results.
